Cabins and Motel on Lake Superior, 2 miles south of the scenic town of Paradise,
60 miles north of St. Ignace in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Open
year round.
Whitefish Bay Motel and Cabins is a small, peaceful, resort on
the shores of Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay and minutes from area attractions,
yet far enough away from the hustle to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay at our
own corner of Paradise. Accommodations consist of a 4 unit motel and 4
waterfront cabins.
The 4 UNIT MOTEL has three rooms with 2 double beds and 1 room with 1 double
bed, microwave, and small refrigerator. All rooms have color TV (antenna),
in-room coffee maker and coffee, bathroom with shower, customer controlled heat,
ceiling fan, and access to the bay for shallow water swimming. Fire pit, grill,
hammock, and deck with seating.
CABIN 5: 2 bedroom cabin with double bed in one room and 2 double beds in the
other. Full kitchen/dining room combination with 13" TV and remote, bath with
shower, living room with full sized sleeper sofa, full sized couch, 2 easy
chairs, and 25" color TV (antenna) with VCR. Sleeps 8 guests in winter and 6
during the summer.
CABIN 6: Large one room cabin with full kitchen/dining combination, bathroom
with shower, queen bed, 19" colorTV with VCR (antenna), and easy chair. Sleeps 2
guests.

CABIN 6 1/2: Super large
one room cabin with full kitchen/dining room combination, bathroom with
tub/shower, and a double bed. Living room area has a love seat, chair,
25"satellite TV with remote, and a gas log fireplace. 2 guests only.
CABIN 7: 2 bedrooms (1 double bed in each room), full kitchen, dining room, and
a bathroom with tub/shower. The living room has awindow facing the lake, a
couch, easy chair, and 25" color TV with remote and VCR (antenna). Sleeps up to
4 guests.
All our cabins are on the water and equipped with TV's, gas stoves, full sized
refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, toasters, dishes, eating and cooking
utensils, and baking pans. Dish towels, garbage bags, vacuums, brooms, dish
soap, hand soap, fans, salt and pepper, bath towels, bedding, and toilet paper
are provided. Customer controlled heat will keep you cozy on those cold nights.
Radios, books, cards, magazines, and games are available.

Each cabin has its own BBQ grill, fire pit - wood supplied but donations are
accepted, lawn furniture, picnic tables, clothes line, and hammock.
Motel Units are equipped with 19" color TV with remotes (antenna), coffee makers
with coffee, bathrooms with showers, bath soap, bath towels, bedding, customer
controlled heat, ceiling fans, portabble fans, magazines, cards, and access to
the Bay with a fire pit, picnic table, BBQ grill, and hammock.
All our guests can enjoy shallow water swimming, canoeing Whitefish Bay, lazy
days in a hammock, fishing, volleyball, horse shoes, and basketball. We have
canoe rentals for exploring the Tahquamenon River - life jackets available for
children and adults.
What you need to bring that we do not supply: beach towels, charcoal, coffee,
bath soap, shampoo, (bath soap and coffee are supplied in the motel), and your
camera for the refreshing beauty of Lake Superior.
Excellent snowmobiling in the Paradise Area! You can go snowmobiling right from
your door, go cross country skiing, or just plain relax. Snowmobile rentals
nearby. We have a private snowmobile trail that leads to State Trail #8.
Two large parking lots for boat and snowmobile trailers. Heated garage for
snowmobile repairs. Trail Maps available.
Attractions in the area include:
The famous Upper and Lower Tahquamenon Falls; the Whitefish Point Lighthouse and
the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum; The Soo Locks; Whitefish Point Bird
Observatory on the flyway between North America and Canada; Whitefish Point
Underwater Diving Preserve which offers deep-diving experiences in Lake Superior
on a variety of shipwrecks; Point Iroquois Lighthouse and Museum; casinos and
live entertainment at Bay Mills and Sault Ste Marie.
