Snowmobile clubs often and sometimes need to raise money any which way they can. Chili cookouts are one of those ways that some of the clubs in my area help raise money for the trails. The people that are standing out in the cold serving chili, hot dogs, beverages and other misc. items are doing this to help out with the sport and trails. So please, don't fly by them like they are wasting your time or are being a inconvenience. If it wasn't for them, that trail you just rode down would not be there nor would it be getting groomed. When you see a club gathered on the trail, stop by and say hi. Learn what they are doing and donate to your sport. If you don't have time to stop, then please slow down when passing by so no one get's hurt or a accident does not occur. I would like to personally thank Troy, Big Dan and Little Dan for coming up from Indiana and standing out in the below zero temperatures on many occasions, serving chili to help raise money for my snowmobile club. I would also like to thank Steve Evans from the Strongs General Store for helping me with each and every Chili Cookout that I ever have done.
